From the jaw-dropping size and intensity of Angkor Wat, to the huge stones faces of Bayon, the Temples of Angkor never cease to amaze. Ta Prohm temple, with the jungle growing amongst the ruins, was made more famous by the Tomb Raider film filmed there. Appreciate the delicate carvings at Banteay Srei and explore the mysterious Beng Mealea temple to clamber over the tumbled rocks. There is something for all and plenty of ways to escape other tourists at some of the lesser visited, but not less beautiful, smaller temples.

There is plenty more to see and do in Siem Reap besides visiting temples. The countryside is just gorgeous and easily explored by bicycle, quad bike or motorbike tours. Take the time to visit nearby Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and see how people live in floating or stilted houses. See Siem Reap from a different angle with a helicopter ride or microlight flight.
